Neenah has two things that shape the work here: an unusually well-preserved stock of historic homes, and a tree canopy that most towns would envy.

The canopy is the operative detail. Mature hardwoods over Doty Island and through the older neighborhoods keep whole roof slopes in shade for most of the day, and a shaded north slope stays damp.
